About This Site

This private reference guide organizes the public paths for Brooke County booking information, regional-jail custody searches, court follow-up, and records requests. It does not publish booking photographs or keep a roster. The goal is to make the difference between an arresting agency, a regional jail, and a court record easier to understand before a reader begins a search.

What This Guide Covers

Brooke County does not have a located Sheriff-run public booking roster. The useful official path is therefore layered: the Brooke County Sheriff’s Office for originating-agency information, the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation for Northern Regional Jail custody, and the West Virginia courts for a case’s later disposition. This guide explains those different roles, points to the official search pages and request routes, and makes clear when a source is a secondary lead rather than the record custodian. It hosts no booking-photo gallery and makes no claim that an arrest proves guilt.

What This Site Cannot Do

This is an independently operated reference site. It is not connected with a West Virginia government agency, sheriff, police department, court, jail, or corrections department. It cannot release or transfer anyone, arrange a bond or visit, provide legal advice, or guarantee that a public source has kept every record current.

  • It cannot confirm a person’s present custody or release status.
  • It cannot obtain, alter, or suppress an official record.
  • It cannot decide what an arrest allegation means in a court case.
  • It cannot replace the office that created a record or the court that resolved a case.

Only the originating agency, WVDCR, or the court can confirm a current record or a final case outcome.

Search-Partner Disclosure

Some pages include a search box operated by a third-party provider. That provider controls its results, pricing, and data practices. If a reader chooses a paid partner service after using a link or tool, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the guide. That arrangement does not change the site’s official-source-first approach or place it in control of a partner’s product.
